The only good part of this is she did not have a CHL. It still looks very bad, but at least they can't point to all "CHL Holders."...Cotten did not have a concealed carry permit, and it appears that she retrieved her weapon from her vehicle and was not carrying it on her person when the incident began.
Sadly, we’ve seen far too many people recently who think the right to bear arms means that they are some sort of quasi-law enforcement officer. We’ve reported two incidents recently where concealed carriers shot a shoplifters attempting to flee the scene of their crimes in addition to Ms. Cotten’s reckless behavior.....

I haven't been in that parking lot in a while but when she fired over him she could have hit the American Bank building, an overpass embankment on I-35, managed to fire OVER I-35, or hit something around there. The purse snatcher crosses Bank Drive and runs down the back driveway of the bank so how she managed not to hit something noticeable is beyond me.
