That's my understanding. Both public and private institutions will have to post 30.06 to identify the places where concealed carry is not allowed - 411.2031 (d-1), and 46.035 (a-2) and (a-3), including stadiums.TXBO wrote:Will private universities that choose to ban concealed carry be required to post a 30.06 on every building?
Private schools: Don't have to post TPC §30.06 signs, but if they do not, then they can enforce only rules and policies. There will be no criminal violation. Tex. Public schools: Must post 30.06 signs on "premises" (a/k/a buildings or portions thereof) that are off-limits. They cannot post 30.06 signs outside of buildings. Tex. Gov't Code §411.2031(d-1)
