Having been here all of 6 months, and have seen this one brought up at least 3 times. I wonder how many times it has happened in total so far.longtooth wrote:Here we go again.
When a question comes up repeatedly that predictablly brings up a long thread. What is the basis fir the assertion that one cannot? Unless an act is proscribed by law, it it legal.frankie_the_yankee wrote:Help us out. What is the basis for your assertion?AEA wrote:Texas CHL holders are allowed to carry in Post Offices. Do some research.
Bottom line: 18 USC 930, which generally bans firearms in federal buildings, does not apply to the Post Office. Instead, they have their own published Rule (39 CFR 232.1) against firearms. The biggest difference is that being found in violation of 18 USC 930 is a felony, but the maximum penalty for violating 39 CFR 232.1 is a $50 fine, 30 days in jail, or both.txinvestigator wrote:What is the basis fir the assertion that one cannot?
