Hello,
If a Texas resident leaves the state and becomes a resident in another state, does TX automatically cancel/invalidate the CHL?
Thanks
What happens to Texas CHL after leaving TX?

Whenever a CHL moves to a new address -- in state or out of state -- the CHL is required by law to update the DPS with their new address. It costs $25.
If the new address is out of state, the license simply becomes a non-resident Texas license. It is still renewable regardless of how long the person lives outside of Texas.
