If this is the movie theatre I went to about 30 years ago, I wouldn't to to that place if it was free and they welcomed guns.

The audience was full of thugs who through out the showing of the movie constantly yelled at the screen and argued with each other.

I left before the movie ended as it was getting worse and worse...

AMC's are usually the ghetto theaters around here anyways, so I avoided them before I had my license. Funny how a lot of posted places are like that. Grapevine Mills mall is getting pretty seedy, too. It's posted plain as day, but all I remember thinking the last time I was there was "I sure wish I was carrying in here!".

My understanding is that 30.06 prohibits concealed carry. You blame open carry group for prohibiting concealed carry? How about blaming the mothers against guns or the flaming liberals that own these companies? I am not for the radical tactics of some open carry groups but I am sure that Bloomberg loves it when open carry and concealed carry fight it out.

It is the publicity caused by the OC groups that has brought 30.06 to the forefront. So, yes I do blame the OC groups. Many 30.06 signs have gone up since they started their foolishness.

Come on, AMC has posted their theaters for years, long before any of this open carry nonsense started.

I blame AMC for being disrespectful of their customers.

AMCs (at least the ones here) were not posted with enforceable signs. That is a recent development and has occurred only since the publicity has brought to light that the original signs were not enforceable.
Unless one has their head buried in the sand can not deny the fact that numerous enforceable signs have gone up as a direct result of the OC crowds stupidity.

Probably. Pro gun people would know 30.06 signs have nothing to do with .30-06 rifles.

The AMC in Grapevine used to have a 30.06 posted sign but not technically legal. It was to small and not real easy to see. It sits on the Grapevine Mills Mall property across from a mall entrance. The mall entrance seems to have a legit 30.06 sign. I believe the AMC is no longer posted 30.06 but just has some sign that says no guns or something.

GVMM has not had a correct sign yet. I was just there 2-3 weeks ago and they still have the sign that the 4413 (29ee) part in it that is the old Vernon code something.

Correlation does not imply causation.

Unless and until anyone who puts up an "enforceable 30.06" announces or affirms that they did it because of the open carry people's activities, which doesn't make sense because OC is not governed by 30.06, the only fact that one cannot deny is that some 30.06 signs have gone up since the OC people have been demonstrating. It doesn't matter which 30.06 signs they put up, they have no effect on OC, and that publicity has not been part of the OC controversy.

It's now posted with an enforceable sign. The one with the stretchy one inch block letters.

Ankle height on the entry doors. Some close to the BLUE TABC sign. They have the new stretchy 1" letters. You could argue they are not "conspicuously" posted, but are you willing to risk "TAKING THE RIDE"?
