Hi everyone, I am a new member to the forum but have been reading for weeks. I take my initial CHL class this Sat. Oct 19th and pumped to get started! :woohoo I am a little nervous because I'm not sure what to expect from the class/test. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and look forward to reading/posting in the future.

Welcome to the forum. If you ever have any questions, there is always a wealth of knowledge and first hand experience around. Good luck this Saturday.

First, WELCOME! Second, as long as you have a decent instructor, you shouldn't worry about the written test at all. Very few that I am aware of have not passed it. Third, don't worry about the firearms portion either. If you have even minimal shooting skills, you should pass it also. Just listen and follow the commands given. The class I was in had two ladies in their 70's who had never even held a gun before and passed. Just take it seriously, listen and learn, and have a little fun with it. Good luck!

Welcome. If your CHL class is anything like the one I took back in 04 it should be a breeze. My instructor made the class very interesting. The shooting part is also easy as long as you can follow instructions well.

I'm amazed that there are people who don't get 100s on the written test.

I found a good online review site early this year; I don't know if it has been updated for recent changes. (Of course, I should ask this: has the written test itself been updated yet?)
