Mrs. Anygun Just Drew Her Weapon...

No, not on me.
I am at work talking to my operators when I get a text "I drew my gun on two men. All is OK."
What!?!
She was at her sister's house (Dickinson) in the driveway getting ready to leave. She was picking up trash from the car. Two men in suits surprised her. She turned around and they were in her personal space. She warned them to back off twice and they did not back away. She drew her SW 642. They backed away then. They backed away with hands held up and told her they were unarmed. She gave them the third degree for what they did and informed them they were not in a neighborhood to be doing such things.
They slowly produce a business card.
They work for the Social Security administration. Out drumming up ways to spend our tax dollars.
They apologized.
I call her, she told me what happened, she is on the way home.
I told her we will talk when I get home.
This tops off a rather interesting day.

1st,, Happy to hear it worked out ok and all safe....
1st and 1/2
I hope she called 911...
You know the deal..
First person to call is the victim, all others are suspects.. Wright or wrong has little to do with at the first call....
Even if she did not call, she should now,, in hopes of being first
.

Anygun,
My hats off to your missus for keeping her cool. I'm glad everything worked out well, and I hope you have the ability to treat her well tonight after what must have been a nerve-racking experience.
And for those who say, "can't be that bad, she didn't have to shoot", I say this: I've pulled my gun just a handful of times in my life, and I've never had to fire a shot any of those times - but each time, I pulled because I was afraid of what might happen if I didn't. Just pulling it out can be quite trying on the nerves.
Plus, anytime you have to deal with feds face-to-face, that just makes you nauseous anyhow...

They work for the Social Security administration.
Sounds to me like she has pretty good instincts.

Sounds Hokey to me. I'd double check the business card contacts and make sure. I haven't heard of thugs dressing up like "revenue-ers" and casing neighborhoods but I have heard of just about every other disguise that lets them walk through neighborhoods casing houses and victims.
My two cents...

Yep, need to tell someone. If they alarmed her enough for her to draw, they're not doing their job right.

I agree. Anyone can print/order business cards.

Scary! I'm so glad she held her own and is ok. Great job Mrs. Anygun!
It does not sound right to me at all. Since when does the SSA send people out to canvass?! The only federal types at my door have been census counters, but everyone knew they were coming.

I print my own.
I can guarantee this, though, if they really were SS people, good luck ever successfully applying for anything.

this is what has concerned me all evening...their story just sounds weird...it could be correct, but it's still odd.
I'm so glad Mrs Anygun is ok!
