I live in the Houston area so I can't answer your question about an Instructor, but I do have one suggestion. Let your wife take a class with other people present. The class is 10 hours long and I can't imagine just teaching one person. I need people to ask questions. I do senarios. I'm sure she could find a ladies only class in the Dallas area. I think it will be much more enjoyable for her this way. Congratulations on getting her to take the class. My wife has absolutely no desire to take the class and everyone she knows has a CHL. That is great that your wife is interested in getting her CHL. My wife is teaching a class on June 15 and it will be held in Lewisville, about 20 miles or so from the center of Plano. I agree that the class is much more enjoyable when there are other members that ask questions and play along. If interested, feel free to visit our website that is below in my signature below. BTW, I grew up in East Plano at the corner of Shilo and Park from 73 - 91.

If guns kill people, do pens misspell words?
I like options: Sig Sauer | DPMS | Springfield Armory | Glock | Beretta

After reading the OP, I can see where you came up with that line of thinking. I almost deleted my first post thinking I had interpreted the OP incorrectly. I think your interpretation is entirely logical.

Sorry if my original post was not clear enough. I'm looking for recommendations. I can google and find 5-10 classes in a few min. But I want my wife to get a good feeling out of this process and not just "go through it".
I didn't think about the "ladies only" class. I'll suggest it to her and see if it'll be something she wants to do.
