Just need verification that i am understanding the law correctly. I am picking my wife up at the airport next week. From the way I read and understand the law, as long as i do not try to carry my firearm past the "secured area" (past the bag screening and security checkpoint) then i can carry in the airport. Am i reading this correctly?

You can park
You can walk into the airport

But you CANNOT try to go past security.

Apparently Love Field is posted, and DPS (or local police? I don't remember) claim they will arrest even though it's obviously govt. property.

But then it is a CONCEALED handgun...

DFW is not posted, and I've carried there a number of times.

I never saw signs when I walked into the terminal at Love Field, and I carried.

The only signs I have seen there are the 30.05 signs. It's been a few years and they may not still be there. There was someone on Texas3006.com that insisted they were 30.06 signs, but no one else has confirmed that.

That was my understanding. I've never been there, so I don't have personal knowledge. But I'd be interested in any current reports.

I just noticed 30.06 signs at SAT the other day...in the new terminal.

Love Field was not 30.06 posted as of this past Thursday. I picked up a blind patient and her new guide dog that morning and didn't notice any signs. I even had a pleasant conversation with a police officer about CHLs & carrying while I was waiting for the plane to land.

I flew out of LUV last night...it's posted but not 30.06

Careful. To my knowledge there is no airport with the LUV identifier. Dallas Love Field is KDAL.
