I noticed AFM Euless Lanes (showplace bowling alley) has the wrong signs posted. They are supposed to have the blue sign and they have the red signs posted.

I called the bowling alley to inquire as to why they have the red sign when there license and the TABC site show they are supposed to have the blue sign. The GM stated they put up the signs that the TABC gave them .

I called the Arlington TABC office and inquired about why this establishment was posting a red sign instead of the correct blue sign and I was told that they didn’t have any blue signs at the time and they gave them the red signs to post. He said he would send someone out to give them the right signs. He didn’t sound to convincing though. I will be surprised if they actually get changed.

I was amazed at how nonchalant he was about giving them the red sign like it was no big deal! Who holds the TABC accountable in situations like this ?

When law enforcement doesn't respect the law it sends a strong signal to the citizens who are paying the bills.

On ones which go unnoticed ... say a year or so from now, an investigator goes out and fines the establishment for the incorrect sign...

...they'd probably hear "It was YOUR responsibility to follow up" and "we have no record of what you're telling us"...we DO have to do their job and ours to keep out of trouble...

They're just moving the goal posts around to keep us on our toes. If no clear bright line exists to not be crossed, then they can get you for crossing the line any time they want to.

Yeah, I'm old too and am joining curmudgeons anonymous. hopefully laughing with not at you. I forgot to add this....

I was telling my wife about some of the posts relaying incidents of old people defending themselves. I then realized I am the old people.

...I check the obits where I used to live...and often say...but he/she was so YOUNG...ULP!!!

It was my understanding that anyone with a liquor license gets a packet with both signs in it, and then you post accordingly based on your license.
It's possible, that in this case, they were "out of the blue signs" and only sent the red, but come on... really?
