Carried at Cook Childrens all morning

My youngest son, aged 3, had to have his tendons reattached in his left index finger so I spent quite a bit of time at Cook Childrens Ft. Worth this morning.
Checked the forum and texas3006 and didn't see anything so I decided to carry. Not a big fan of being in any downtown area at 5am especially one I've never really been to so I didn't want to be unequipped.
Didn't see any signs, not even a gunbuster, the entire time I was there. I carried through out the hospital including the pre and post op areas where we needed to be with our son. Didn't have any issues but my anxiety really went up the further we went "into" the hospital. I felt fine in the waiting rooms and the registration areas but for some reason I just felt like I was horribly wrong for having it back in the actual medical rooms. I know its just bad anti propaganda that was making me feel that way and I went about my business none the less. I've been carrying for over a year and was surprised to have that anxiety hit me like it was my first day carrying again. Kept my cool and just ignored the anxiety and whadda ya know...nothing happened. Thus concluded my 8 hours at the hospital.
Funny thing though...the free public WiFi had all the gun websites blocked including the CHL forum. I would get a page that said something to the effect of "Page blocked. Reason:WEAPONS"...
...whatever...
Son is fine. They were able to reattach his tendons and he should have his cast off in about 3 weeks.

Thank you Lord for loving us like You do. Especially the little children.
Us big kids prolly deserve what we get.

I have to admit, I'm surprised. It was certainly posted the last time I was over there, as are the other hospitals. I can't believe someone decided to take them down, but it sure is a positive move.

First I want to say I am glad your son is doing well. I had a similar experience at Plano Medical Center. I was in and out of the emergency room exit a dozen times or more over a couple day period. Never saw a sign. Then I noticed the 30.06 sign on the revolving door. I was looking for it on each side of the door and since the door was moving, had not noticed it. That was not the first time I found myself carrying where I was not suppose to be. I was in a hotel in Austin that was not posted at the garage entrance. It was plainly posted at the other entrances. Made no sense to me as it seems most folks would enter from the garage after parking their car. Maybe the sign was there and just not where you entered ?

ETMC is posted at all locations, AFAIK. Granted, the letters may be only 3/4" tall but the facilities are posted nonetheless. We don't use ETMC no more.

I made several trips past the front entrance and there were 2 small gray signs but I could see the writing backwards and they weren't 3006. They looked the same as the ones from the garage entrance but I don't remember what they were. Texas Methodist is located right next toCook Children's and is listed on Texas3006 but they are 2 separate buildings and I think 2 separate hospitals even though they are next door.
You should see the boxing glove full arm cast my boy has. Won't be long till he figures out how much damage he can do with that...

Glad he'll be ok.
I PMmed you on about 3 ways to connect, even though blocked. ... I won't post that info publicly for kids at school to learn how to bypass school firewalls to spend all day on Facebook
All are legal. The last way is probably simplest, and can actually be used in combination with another.
PM if questions.

It's actually "Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital", and yes, they are two very separate (and sometimes very contentious) companies.

Don't worry abut that - one of my students showed me no less than eight ways to bypass the school's blocking software to get onto Facebook, and none of them took more than 10 seconds to accomplish. The sneaky little guys are probably more accomplished at busting through virtual locks than we are!

I learned to listen to 15 year-olds to see specifically what they are doing ... comes in handy later
My niece laughs "You can build a computer blindfolded with one hand, type faster than I do, but don't know to press 'send' after dialing a cell phone nor how to answer one" ... and it's true
A lawyer asked everyone years ago how to look at a photo someone sent to his phone of a wrecked car .. I said "ask the little 10 year old girl in the lobby" .. she showed him how

Every time I get exasperated with the cell phone my wife reminds me to just hand it to the fifteen year old. Works every time.

Anyone have any recent knowledge on Cook's Children's Fort Worth 30.06 status?
TX 3006 has nothing and this old thread is good news, but would appreciate a more recent confirmation.
Headed there this afternoon to visit a sick friend.
Thanks!
