Amarillo Civic Center Auditorium?

Hello! I recently received my CHL and ever since I carry everywhere I go.

I read the posts that they don't want you to carry your gun into the gun show at the Amarillo Civic Center, but does anyone know about concerts in the Auditorium?

I've never been to a concert at the Amarillo Civic Center and I haven't been to a rock concert in 30 years, so any advice would be appreciated (yes, I plan on bringing ear plugs).

Thanks!

If it's owned by a government entity and it isn't a place or event listed as off limits by PC §46.03 or PC §46.035, they can't legally prohibit carry.

....but some of them like the Irving Civic Center post anyway. I've been meaning to ask someone in the Town managers office about that.

If I were in doubt, I might call ahead and ask. Otherwise "concealed is concealed."

Thanks for the responses.

FYI....I just called them and they said that they are not allowed due to the sale of alcohol at the event. I asked if there would be signs and he said, "Probably not".

I don't give a dang about "what they want". They get to follow the law just like we do.

I've always carried into the Amarillo gun shows and I would carry into the concert, provided that I was not planning on partaking of alcoholic beverages. :cheers2:

The Amarillo civic center is legal to carry. They do post 30.06 signs at gumshows only. Every other even like carshow and man cave outdoorshow and even the arena football and hockey because they are not profesional sporting events!
