I'm wanting to take my new gun out. Anyone up to a DFW area forum range day this Spring?

Here's what I'm thinking:

9-9:30 Arrive, introduce ourselves, get set-up (a little more formal than last time)
9:30-10:30 Help others (new shooters, holsters, try out others' guns, whatever is arranged in advance)
10:30-10:45 or 11 Transition time. Snack. Talk. Show off cool stuff to the group.
10:45/11-11:30 Shoot our own weapons
11:30-12:00 Take down, clean up, get to restaurant
12-1/1:30 Eat and chat

If we have it at Elm Fork range and El Mercado restaurant again, those who are interested in doing so could then go back to the range for the afternoon on their own at no extra charge if they wanted more shooting. I spoke with Elm Fork to see if there were any days they'd want us to avoid. Other than being typically busy on Saturdays, there aren't any events we need to work around. They recommended once we get over 50 people, coordinating something specific with them (renting out a bay, etc).

What do you say?

Long time no see....I presume you've been busy! Had a great time at the last get together and looking forward to this one. Will bring my Mosin Nagant so those so inclined can bruise their shoulders.......I voted for any Saturday after the 16th, as I have an obligation that day. Scheduling permitting, any of the other Saturdays should be OK.

I voted for everything except April 30. I'm having dental surgery on the 29th.

I can bring my AR along with the pistols.

I'm up for another range day - the last one was a lot of fun.

I'm flexible on the date - right now all the proposed dates are OK with me.

Voted for everything except Apr 29. Pretty sure that's Larry Joe Taylor week/weekend.

Sounds awesome! I am good for any of the above dates. (plus 1)

With the way they're set up, I bet it would be doable to have catering in the parking lot at Elm Fork. I don't have an opinion on it one way or another or experience with having an event catered. Anyone else have input on the option?

I selected all the dates.

For food, I'm game for whatever. If someone has a grill they want to bring, I'd be happy to help out with the cooking.

I hope I can make it this time. April 30 and May 14 work best for me at this time.

Voted for 16th or the 30th, hopefully it will be on a day when I'm not working this time. I'm really looking forward to it.
