Zombies. Case closed, shred the bill.

This bill will go no where.
let us ban fast cars, how about ban any car since there are so many DWI drivers who kill counltless innocent lives each year? how about Max car speed of 10MPH?
Only bicycles are allowed.

Everybody said that about the original AWB.Beiruty wrote:This bill will go no where.

I agree. They can ban all high capacity clips... as long as they leave my MAGAZINES alone!

If NRA cant take on this bill heads on, maybe living in Iraq, Afghastan, Yemen and Lebanon is not a bad idea where no gun control at the personal level is enforced.

Re: Lautenberg introduces high capacity mag ban
When the Clinton era ban went into effect, even if you had Hi-cap mags, you had to prove they were grandfathered (ser number and register them) which was another level of creepy control.
Never under estimate the anti-gun crowd. I lived through the first round and owned an "evil" assualt rifle at the time. It was a weird time in the US, and I don't want to repeat it.

It's mighty kind of him to show his ignorance on the subject by using incorrect terminology. This guy has certainly not had the pleasure of doing a mag dump on paper targets with a crisp-triggered semi-auto, otherwise he would not say "the only reason".TxLobo wrote:"The only reason to have 33 bullets loaded in a handgun is to kill a lot of people very quickly. These high-capacity clips simply should not be on the market," Lautenberg said in a written statement announcing his plans.

Re: Lautenberg introduces high capacity mag ban
So, who's with me on banning high capacity clips? High capacity hair clips are a fashion disaster. Clip-on CHL badges are mall ninja magnets. And those big paperclips can be straightened out and used as a weapon! I'm all for banning clips!

I don't remember having to register them. How do you register an item that has no serial number?SecedeTX wrote:When the Clinton era ban went into effect, even if you had Hi-cap mags, you had to prove they were grandfathered (ser number and register them) which was another level of creepy.
New guns just came with 10 round mags, but everything that was already produced and in the public could still be bought and sold openly. All it did was raise the prices of Hi Caps, it really had no effect on keeping people getting them.
Except in States that made it illegal. Heck even in California it was still legal till 2000, and now it's just illegal to import or sale, not own.

Time to make a speculation play on hi cap Glock mags.

Yeah but do you go with the Gen 3s or the newer Gen 4s?
I'm thinking AR mags might be the way to go - cheaper per unit, more dedicated customer base (after all, a 10-round Glock still ain't a bad handgun - but a 10-round AR sucks).
... I can't believe I'm thinking such things DEFEAT THE BILL!

I hope someone reminds these liberal idiots about what happened during the election following the origional assault weapons ban
