My roommate and I worked as sign-holders for the last LPGA tournament held here in Houston, and I didn't see any 30.06 signs, only generic "no guns" signs at the gates. If that's the case again for you, you'd be OK as long as you stay outdoors; PC §46.035(b2) makes the premises used for a professional sporting event off-limits for CHL carry, but defines "premises" as a building or a portion of a building.

It's a well known professional sporting event, and as such PC 30.06 signs are not required. It's a BIG no no to carry there.
I hope you have fun there. Colonial is a tough as nails course to play.

I don't think I'd split that hair. It's a professional sporting event and, as such, carry is off limits. Just because the venue is outdoors wouldn't negate the prohibition against carrying.denwego wrote:My roommate and I worked as sign-holders for the last LPGA tournament held here in Houston, and I didn't see any 30.06 signs, only generic "no guns" signs at the gates. I'm pretty sure the Shell Open here in Houston was posted, as well as some plain clothes police walking around looking for trouble.
