I only carry one pistol but i toy with the idea of carry a second piece.

Does anyone out there carry 2 pistols? Are they the same kind of handgun or caliber even? Do you carry extra mags for both weapons?

I carry ( on my person) either my Glock .40 cal or my Glock .45 cal and when in shorts etc. I carry a Kel Tec .32 ACP.
In my truck I have a Taurus .38 with +P wadcutters and 2 speed loaders down in the drivers side door area. In the Mercedes I have a S&W9VE. Yes I carry, have loaded spare magazines for all.
Also in the truck I have a loaded ready to go AK47 7.62X39 under the rear seat. It has a red dot scope and 150 lumen flashlight on a pressure switch mounted to the front grip. 2 30 round magazines coupled with one in the pipe give me 61 rounds at the ready ( I hate hogs and have declared feral hog jihad :) ).....
In the house I have more AK's in 7.62 and .223 setup the same as described above except the .223 is scoped and has a bi-pod mounted on the front rails.
And of course many more rifles/shotguns and pistols.
Everything gets shot at least twice a year...cleaned and oiled.....
I have a minimum of a few hundred rounds for every gun and well over a thousand rounds for each AK.

Only one most of the time. Backup when general threat level rises. Have carried 3 but seldom.

Normally, a Bersa Thunder or XD9 Sub with a spare magazine (for either) weather and clothing dependent.

one in the pocket (.380)
one holstered (.45)

I typically carry two, once in a while I will carry only one due to limits placed by where(New Mexico) or how(what I am wearing or if I am riding a bicycle or running) I am going. I carry three more often than I carry one but that is more a function of having just detail stripped and cleaned/de-linted one of my other two.

As a civilian/CHL I normally carry one weapon. I recall carrying two at one time, but for the life of me don't recall why (probably right after reading something on this forum that alarmed me is my guess...).
In Afghanistan I carried an M9 on the FOB, and outside it I carried the M9, an M4, my imitation buck-knife and my SAW if the security team wouldn't let us mount it on our HUMVEE.

In all seriousness, why AK's? When I was cross training at Bragg I qualified with the AK. It was tough, reliable and would sling a lot down range in a hurry BUT was not terribly accurate...IIRC.

I carry a 23 on my person 99.5 % of the time, a Model 36 otherwise, and a Security Six in the glove box.

I only carry one...and no reloads (though I do have them in the car). I ain't Chuck Norris...If there's a fight I won't be hunkering down behind a car door exchanging fire. I'll be running away firing wildly and screaming like a little girl.

I carry one with no reloads, because I have only 1 magazine for my gun. I have one on order and will carry the spare when it comes in.

I carry a SP101 on the hip most of the time or a beretta tomcat in the pocket and a .45 in the truck. The AK for the truck when it comes in.

I carry a .38 in a pocket holster. But if I'm going to be riding or driving for any length of time, I'll add another .38 or a .357 in a crossdraw.

Also have a vest with ambidextrous gun pockets. To avoid sagging on the gun side, it's easier to carry a gun on both sides. In this case, it's either two 1911's or two HiPowers.

I only carry one. Colt commander .45. I want to get a bond arms texas defender in .357 as a back-up, but I don't have it yet. So just put me down for one. I do carry two spare clips though.
