So I asked most of the major carriers if there is a discount, on a general liability policy, for properly posting a business with 30.06.
The top 3 General Liability carriers all said no.
2 asked me why I would do such a thing.
That was a relief.
I would hate to see monetary incentives in place to post a business.
That is all.

I would think that posting a 30.06 sign could open a business owner up to a lawsuit in the event that there were a shooting. By disarming legally armed customers, the business owner is taking responsibility for their safety. If one of them is injured by someone committing a crime, the business owner could be sued. I am told this is why a lot of those "the unlicensed possession of a firearm is prohibited" signs are replacing the gunbuster signs in many businesses.

I agree with the sentiment, but you are wrong. No one gets sued for banning guns, by whatever means, when someone gets hurt. There may be suits on other grounds, such as not providing a safe workplace, or allowing guns and someone gets shot, but for banning guns -- ain't gonna happen.
