question about chl?
after much discussion a co-worker and i have convinced the rest of our office to get a chl.. Including the owner we have actually helped them set it up where all of them will take it the same day in the office.. My question we have two of them we are a little gray on their eligibility. One voluntarally went into drug rehab 4 years ago and has no criminal record at all. The other has nothing on his record but over 6 years ago he was arrested for spousal abuse but no charges were filed, he was let go and nothing else happened. thanks in advance for any help

Re: question about chl?
Congratulations on getting your co-workers onboard.
The guy with the drug rehab might have to get documentation from a physician that he is not currently drug or alcohol dependent. See Government Code §411.173(e)(3). At worst he might have to wait another year.
Maybe someone else has experience with how that works.
The guy who was arrested needs to get documentation of the disposition of the case.
Arrests without conviction do not affect eligibility unless the case is still open.
