I took my CHL over the weekend I passed 100% on the shooting and the quiz. Which I can't see anyone failing it was to simple. But basically I filled out all the forms except for the yellow app. The instructor stated that I could fill out the app online and pay there and that all I would have to do is print a reciept and mail that with my packet and that would show proof of payment and have my trace number for them to pull up my online app. So that is what I did but after readin alot of threads here I noticed that people were doing this before they took the test and sending the packet that got mailed to them off. Has anyone ever done it this way without sending them a app? and just letting them pull the app off of the dps site?
Will this work or am i screwed and going to be placed at the bottom of the pile until I send off the app. that gets mailed to me in my packet? Someone please help I do not want to be a statistic and wait 11 months for my plastic....
Thanks !!

I took the class and filled out everything on the paper app they gave me, but then the next day I went to the DPS website and simply transferred all of the information from the paper app onto the website application. I did NOT send my paper application in with everything else. Everything worked out fine.

Abraham,
This is a pretty cool fraternity we belong to, but pinning isn't part of the ceremony after you pledge.
You were shown the secret handshake, right?

anygunanywhere,
Not only the secret hand shake, but that crazy dance too!
However, I was under the impression this was not so much a fraternity as a completely egalitarian society?

Abraham,
Not to get too off topic, but as I understand egalitarian, all members are equal with equal rights? For this to be true, some here must decide if they really do want everyone to have equal rights.
Great point, sir.

anygunanywhere,
Egalitarian defined in this instance: A society consisting of male and female equals in the CHL association - as a fraternity is made up of males only...

Gotcha. Poor choice of words.
Excellent point.
How about The Second Amendment Nation?
