I can't remember, it has been awhile since I have been to one. Any signs or anything disrespecting my right to enter as an Armed CHL Holder?
I had heard that with the child shooting itself with the grandmother's gun that they may put up 30.06 signs. Did this ever happen?
An update on the latest status of Sam's Club would be appreciated.

Sam's in Lufkin is friendly. I cant see Sam's anywhere posting. A huge # of their customers are large total, cash only people.
State the location of your Sam's & someone will know.

They don't sell ammo and they don't sell guns but otherwise they are pretty gun friendly. After all they are a part of Wallyworld.

Seems to me they are neutral on the issue...Don't ask, don't tell...A lot like the parent company WalMart...
Never seen any "signs" that are applicable to us in any noticable form...

Four-year-old shoots herself with grandmother's gun
A four-year-old girl shot herself in the chest after grabbing her grandmother's handgun from her purse while they were shopping in Columbia, South Carolina.
By Tom Peterkin
Last Updated: 8:48AM BST 10 Jun 2008
The young girl was in a "critical condition" following the episode which saw her take the gun while riding in a shopping trolley at a discount store.
The grandmother, named Donna Hutto Williamson, 47, a South Carolina magistrate, had a permit to carry a concealed weapon and had placed the bag containing the small calibre weapon along with her shopping.
According to the Columbia State newspaper's website, a witness Lueen Homewood said workers at Sam's Club took first-aid materials off the store shelves to help the grandmother as she cradled the wounded child near the store's pharmacy.
The girl was operated on following the incident on Monday and was said to be recovering.
The grandmother has not been charged with any crime.
"The grandmother is just beating herself up," said her mother-in-law Inease Williamson, 68. "She is just so upset. Everyone is upset."
Officials said the shooting, which was captured on store surveillance cameras, appeared to be accidental. Brick Lewis, a police department spokesman, said police would not release the video.
In South Carolina, Those holding a concealed weapons permit are not allowed to carry guns into buildings that prohibit it, or into government buildings, schools or daycare facilities.
The Sam's Club store does not have a sign prohibiting firearms

The Sam's Club in San Angelo has the "unlicensed possession of firearm prohibited" sign...

No 30.06 signs at the two I've used in Houston.

if they sell alcohol, they have to.
the one in Sherman is frequented by a friend of mine who is a CHL holder, and he has never mentioned a 30.06 sign, so I would presume that it is okay.

Yeah, that is the blue sign from the TABC they have to put up because they sell alcohol. That does not prohibit a CHL form carrying there.
EDIT: DoubleJ beat me to it. And to add, I am a Sam's member and I carry there all the time locally and in multiple locations around the area and in other states.

there isn't anything in the membership agreement that would prohibit you from carrying?

Sam's Club and Wal-Mart both allow concealed carry. If anyone ever sees any "no-guns" signs besides the "unlicensed" sign, let me know the store number and where the sign is and I"ll let Brian know and he'll have it removed.
