My daughter was lucky

#1

Post by bps3040 »

My daughter was very lucky Wednesday. She walked in on a robbery where she works. Should have never happened.

Asst. Manager needed a smoke break. Supposed to go out the front and walk a round. He went out the back and turned the alarm off ???, and left the door cracked open. He then walked down the alley a ways. 4 ScumBags/BGs
pull up in a car..between him and the door. They get out and ask for money. He says No and they proceed to beat the crap out of him. They drag him in the store and go to the managers office.

This is a cell phone store, so no one up front even knows anything is happening.

The managers office has cameras in it. So everything was recorded. The BGs have a gun and put it to the manager's head. He opens the safe and lets them have what they want...... That is when they notice the cameras and proceed to pick up computer monitor... and throw it on the floor a few times ?? I guess they thought they were breaking to recorder.

My daughter hearing the noise opens the door and asks "What is going on?"
The guy with the gun is only a few feet in the door and points the .45 at her and screams something at her. She cannot remember anything except the gun....that is all she noticed. The guy lunges at her and grabs her arm.She spins away and takes off.

Her manager screams at the guy"Don't shoot she's pregnent" (yeah, found out the day before I am going to be a GrandDaddy).....The guy does not shoot. Thank God.

Anyway, she runs on to sales floor, hits alarm, warns everyone in store and runs next door to call police.

Turns out they robbed 2 places before them...firing shots in one of them. Left their store and went to rob another store when the Leo's caught up with them. 4 guys, just got out on parole, according to Leo's.

Whew, this tough to write.

God was looking out for my little girl. She was real lucky.
Thank You

Glad your daughter is ok, and the future grandchild too (congrats on that also). I will keep your family in our prayers as the stress from this won't be over for a while.

Whew! God has His hand on that girl ... and her baby! Let us know how she does and how the pregnancy goes. I'll be praying for all of you.

And ... Congratulations, bps!!!!! :hurry: :thumbs2: :woohoo :anamatedbanana

We loooove babies at our house! Grandkids are among God's greatest gifts! Kinda like an award for living long enough to get to hug 'em!

Does your daughter carry? Might be a good time to have a little conversation with her Manager about getting his staff armed. A bunch of cell phone clerks, defending themselves, would go a long way toward stopping these senseless robberies, IMHO.

Even though the assistant manager's poor judgement put the store and everyone in it at risk, that was quick thinking for him to try to stop the guy from shooting her by yelling out she's pregnant! I can't guess if I would have had my wits about me to pull that off.

I'm glad he and your daughter (and future grandchild) were not harmed. That sounds like a terrifying situation!

Thank you Father for protecting this girl and her baby!

I'm sorry she had to go through this and I'm sorry you had to go through it also. My youngest son had a near-miss situation a few years ago and that story went though my mind frequently for months. I'll pray that both of you can put this out of your minds quickly.

I'm glad that nobody was injured.

I'll bet that asst. manager considers giving up smoking after that mess.

Thank God it ended this way. There were so many possibilities in those few seconds.

I can't wait to get home and hug my daughter.

Congrats on the upcoming birth.

Good job on her part!!!

Getting off the X even if you are not armed is usually the best reaction.

I'm so glad your daughter is safe. Apparently you taught her well. So many people would have submitted rather than resisting in such a situation. I'm constantly worried sick about my 16 year old daughter who has just started driving. No matter how hard you try to convey to them the evils that are waiting for them out in the real world, they just don't seem to get it. Unfortunately, many people don't survive their reality check.

Congratulations on becoming a Grandpa!!!!
