30.06 stickers on glass

A while back, I saw my first 30.06 sign (at least outside of the CHL classroom). It had the correct text in English and Spanish, the letters were at least 1 inch high; however, it was only the letters stuck to a glass wall. I vaguely remember that not meeting the qualifications for "contrasting color".
Does anyone out there remember if that qualifies as a good posting?

The problem being that although the law defines a "good posting" nobody has fought a "bad posting" in court yet. Of course in order to fight a bad posting, one must be arrested and go through all that other fun stuff.

My CHK instructor put it plainly, and I agree:
Regardless of whether or not the posting is legal or not, the owner has obviously pointed out thier wishes. IF you see the sign, regardless of how invalid it is, you have a choice to not do business with them and go elsewhere, or leave your firearm at home or in your vehicle. A non-legal posting of the sign, to me, is merely a defense if LEO is contacted in regards to you violating the owner's wishes, and you did not see the posting due to it's non-legal format.

For businesses, I totally agree and I will take my $$ elsewhere (and keep my legal stuff with me). But that isn't always the case... what about a hospital? This is the situation at the hospital where both of my children were born (and all of the other hospitals in the area - same network) so then what is the answer? Have the kids at home? I don't think so...

Sure, there will be situations where you will carry since the posting is not legal, when you do not have a choice. My statement was in regards to locations you have a choice about.

I posted this on another thread titled "cities improperly posting..."
Anyway...to reiterate what I said in that other thread, the Galveston County Tax office had 30.06 posted on glass. The letters were black and were larger than 1" but was also only posted at one entrance (the one that was blocked off and under construction). The rear entrance that was open had buster signs "no guns allowed". I did disarm though as the tax office shares the building with the local courts and jury rooms. I guess in some smaller cities/towns there are dual use buildings.

Seeing as thats a Gov owned building, I would think the 30.06 wouldn't apply.
