Country Music: Miranda Lambert Has a Feisty Side
Miranda Lambert is the most dangerous-sounding woman in country music. She's also No. 1 with a bullet. So you have to ask: Miranda, are you packing heat?
"Can't tell you," Lambert twangs. "That's why it's called a concealed weapon. How about you just be nice?"
Asking Lambert about her armament is a legitimate question. The country starlet's new album, "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," opens with the raging "Gunpowder & Lead," in which she sings of delivering shotgun-pellet payback to an abusive man.
She wrote the chorus's kicker -- "I'm gonna show him what a little girl's made of / Gunpowder and lead" --
during a concealed handgun class back home in East Texas.
"Miranda has lived in gun culture all her life," explains her father, Rick, a retired cop and private investigator. "I'm a firearms collector and hunter. She was taught to shoot when she was a little bitty girl. So it's natural for her to put a gun in a song.

I have no idea what she sings, but call me a fan.
We need more high profile people like her.

They are crazy about her back home in the small town of Lindale Texas. I was working up that way (before I moved to the big city) and every where you go there is a posterboard or billboard, she even has a little shop that sales items from her tour!! Glad to hear that she is a high profile CHL holder, cant say that I care much for her music though.

I never heard of her before I'm more of a Rock and Roller myself, Curiosity got the best of me and I downloaded "Gunpowder and Lead" Real nice song and a great voice.

I became a fan of Miranda the first time I saw her........sing. Good article.
I can honestly say that I have lived in different parts of Texas for my entire life and NEVER heard someone with that much of a southern accent

She makes Longtooth sound like a Bostonian.

Gotta love Miranda. She makes great music, she's got plenty of spunk, I love the way she talks, she's cute as can be and now, apparently, she also likes guns. Hard to beat that.
Her song "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" mentions a gun as well. "I brought my pistol but I ain't some kinda fool"...although I don't particularly care for that song. I've got both of her albums. I think she'll do very well for herself.

I wouldn't read too much into that. She is also pictured with other members of "The View" including Elizabeth Hasselbeck (sp?), who is as opposite of Rosie as you can get.

Hehehehe, I love the guns question in this interview...
18. Rapid fire:
-Beer or whiskey? Bacardi Clear Rum!
-Longhorns or Aggies? Too tough to call...probably have to go with the Longhorns.
-Highways or dirt roads? Dirt roads...unless we're in the bus! (laughs)
-How many guns do you own? Enough.
-Favorite Mexican food joint? Whichever is closest! I love Mexican.
