I hope you don't really think your SSN is secure and "secret". You'd be suprised how easy it is to find out.

I sure hope the OP has thick skin. If this was the welcome I received, I know my stay would be a short one.

Agreed. This site used to be one of my favorites because of the courtesy shown to others. Lately, it seems that name calling and derision has suddenly grown "acceptable." I don't know if it's an influx of new users, fatigue from the mods "fighting the good fight" in the legislature (leaving fewer resources for here); or just the natural trend of society in general.

But, it's discouraging.

It could be some take themselves too seriously and take everything as a personal affront or attack. ;-)

I don't see that, but possibly it's because we're coming off a pretty contentious political session where people have vastly different beliefs.

I've noticed the same thing as well. It might be a combination of all those things ScooterSissy. It seems like that courtesy, respect and decorum have taken a lower priority to proving one's point to the point of arguments, name calling and flaming others just to be "right".

Since joining, this is the only forum I check into. I'd like to keep it that way. And thank you Mods for your efforts! :tiphat:

This thread is closed. I want to offer my apology to sircas (OP) for some of the responses you have received by Members who know better. While there are very good reasons why displaying one's CHL would not be prudent, our rules require that those reasons be stated respectfully.
