Re: Anyone carry at their job?
My law firm has a firearms policy. If you don't have a CHL when you are hired, you have 90 days to get one and have a gun in the office. If you don't make the 90 deadline, it can be extended 60 upon a showing of good cause, but your salary goes down 25% for that 60 day period. If you don't have it by the end of the 60 day grace period, you are fired and we hire your ex-wife/ex-husband.

I'm a university professor, so that's a no for me. Hopefully one of these days we can get campus carry passed.

Not for me. It has been written in the employee handbook since I started working for the company. Also, days after I took my CHL class and mailed off my application, 30.06 signs were posted at the entrances.

Nope, properly 30.06 posted. Parking lot law properly adhered to by the company. Keep it locked in the vehicle, OK. Bring into the building. fired and prosecuted.

They don't pay me enough to disarm.

Unfortunately, my "full time job" is as a student..... so that's a no go.
I work at the school as a English/Social Sciences tutor... so again- nope. Sad day :(

Yes, just about 24/7. My boss is more than OK with it. Last weekend I gave my first CHL class for employees and spouses in the conference room at work. I'll be doing another in a few weeks.

My plan to work at the DA's office after graduation just changed. I'll be sending a resume!Charles L. Cotton wrote:My law firm has a firearms policy. As for carry at my job. I do and I keep my mouth shut. Rumor has it that company policy would be immediate termination... but I wouldn't know for sure since nobody has ever told me I can't carry.
Unfortunately I do have to disarm for school in the evenings. I will risk termination at work, but I won't risk a felony charge!

It's depended a few times on the job, but any time it was legal and feasible to do so, yes.

Re: Anyone carry at their job?
My company provided a free CHL class for employees and supports concealed carry.

The first time I read this I thought you had written "100k dollar wedding ring." I was going to ask what it felt like to use $100 bills at TP.SRO1911 wrote:Every day, its company policy. I work for a wack job right wing nut who does not want his 100k dollar welding rig stolen.
My employer is properly 30.06 posted but has their own gated parking lot.
