OK, I see how this works... I don't have to have anything notarized to send the warning faxes to the city folks, I'll get that done NOW, then go back Wednesday and then send this in to Paxton.

PERFECT! In one of those "Whereas" it stated the city owns the land, and has dedicated part of it to the Zoo... that will do. Thanks buddy.
I say we have a OC rally at the Zoo on New Year's Day (They are open 10-4 that day).
Not to mention that it also spells out who officially operates the zoo, and within Article 2 it specifies that no matter what the operator does there it is all still owned by the zoo regardless and that the city controls who uses the zoo.
ADDED: Also, of note I think -- I find nothing in this operating contract that permits the association to operate a day care center on the premises, nor to be an educational institution, nor to be an amusement park.
AND Exhibit A provides the exact survey information of the land conveyed to the City of Fort Worth, so there you have the legal description of the land in its entirety.

I think most people these days have an email based fax, so all I have to do is send what looks like an email with attachments, and it will spit out all of the pages to the receiver as one big pdf file.

I like the contract. I will include in my Affidavit to the AG if signs are not down along with the Tarrant County Appraisal District online information that shows the property is owned by the City of Fort Worth: http://www.tad.org/search-by-property-l ... artmentCd=
FYI... I faxed the City of Fort Worth yesterday. Not sure if it has to be three full business days (Fri, Mon, and Tue) but I will err on the side of caution. I will go back on Wednesday to see if they are down.

Chas.
I have to think there are others not on this forum who have sent notice. I hope we get updates from those here that sent notice/s.

Is there a reason NOT to inundate them with forms?
No legal reason, but I don't want the media and zoos to point to the "gun community" and say we're just trying to be obstructive. There's every reason not to bury the AG's office with complaints and that's the next step in the process.

OK, makes sense.

My family visited the Ft Worth Zoo this week and I took a picture of the 30.06 / 30.07 sign as well. I can provide the photo if needed. If we need to send more notices let me know.
I filed a complaint with the city manager and attorney early last month and just a few minutes I go I received a call from a reporter at The Dallas Morning news asking for an interview. Come to find out he filed a FOIA request and the City sent him a copy of my full complaint. Not going to contact him back but it is interesting how things make their way around.

The next time anybody questions why more citizens don't step up and report crimes, I want you folks to remember this post. There's absolutely NO justification for a reporter to have your personal information, especially in regards to gun laws.

In fact, if it were me, I'd be on the phone first thing in the morning with the AGs office telling them all about what has happened, and how you as a gun owner and CHL are concerned now that your identity has been compromised. I am not as familiar with TX FOIA laws but in other states where I've lived they would have been required under the state's FOIA law to redact any and all personal identification. I think that you might even be able to make a case for how as a victim you have been compromised -- since they violated your rights in not allowing you to carry, and violated the law in doing so. If you could find out that they should have redacted, could possibly even make an issue out of this being retaliation for turning them in for violating the law. Perhaps Chas. would have a feel for whether or not there might even be an edge of whistle blower protection applicable. At the least I'd start saying all these things in a phone call tomorrow morning.
