As MasterofNone stated the correct term is Uppercase, not capital letters.
Uppercase is where print type setters kept the capital letters and the lowercase for the non-capital letters, thus the terms. I wonder what the called the little letters before type setters? :lol: The problem with the term uppercase is that it doesn't specify the type of letter/font. Italics, cursive and all manner of letter styles are upper and lower case. Block letters have straight strokes and are described in some places as "stick" letters. I did calligraphy back in the day besides painting signs and I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. :biggrinjester:

Okay.
BTW, I agree with Puma Guy that "block letters" are capitals, uppercase, majuscule, etc. I think that is the most common interpretation.
