And without a doubt those situations of which you speak the victims would have had a gun and would have been able to get it off to fend off the attackers.
You are so right.
How many people in the state have the right to carry, Mr. Wentworth? 5%? 2%? Makes it highly unlikely that any victim would have a gun. Not impossible but highly unlikely.

You just made a very good argument that supports campus carry.
If so few are licensed that it would be so unlikely that many would be on campus, it couldn't really make campuses less safe.
I agree with you, not many undergrads can even meet the qualifications to get a license. The ones who can, probably can't afford the training, equipment and all that goes with it. Of the small group left, most wouldn't carry after about a week because of the discomfort and inconvenience.
However that's no reason to deny the adults who do the right to protect themselves.

Maybe it is something I should reconsider. I have my CCL but always worry about the reaction of those not properly trained. Maybe it would fall in line with my general belief that if everyone armed themselves that crime would go WAY down.
I will think about the support issue. Perhaps I was too harsh to the idea.
