NEVER carry on campus.
Has to wait till I get home.

It is legal according to law for me to have my piece in my car in the parking lot but, that is not a fight I am willing to fight right now.
Holy crap. I think you were my teacher back at Dean Jr. High School.

I've been a tenured English professor for 27 years, but I have had my CHL for only ten years.

Dear Sweet Wife & I both teach middle school science. This is my 14th year and her 18th (I think). Pistols in lock boxes in locked vehicles in a parking lot visable from our classrooms. We would both like to see the school restriction removed, especially during field trips.

Oh, and gun safety and marksmanship courses are mandatory for our students, too.

I'm an attorney by trade, but I've been a political science professor since 2003. I enjoy teaching MUCH more than practicing law...I tell folks that I'm an attorney in recovery...! ;-)

Unfortunately, "carrying" is strictly verboten around the office.

Y'all should consider voting in this poll regarding teachers that carry: A "Should teachers be allowed to carry guns in school?" Go vote at http://www.ktrh.com . It'll be up today (Thursday) only. You can also leave your reasoned opinions in the "talk back" function. I think it would help if the world heard from more teachers on this issue that think they can be responsible with a gun in school.
