It's a question of priorities and preferences. How much do you like your job, considering all factors including the gun policy? How much do you need this job? What's important to you? These are all personal decisions.
With my experience, I could easily earn more if I was willing to work for a large company with anti-gun policies. However, I decided it's not worth disarming for an extra thousand bucks a month. Other people might choose differently and I have no issues with that, as long as they don't expect me to come to their aid.
