I explained to the property manager (via phone) what the 30.06 signs really meant. Now today, I emailed him back to find out if the signs were going to be removed. Guess what? They were removed this past Monday. So, we are welcome back at the Golden Triangle Mall in Denton.

Good job, Bryan.

I'm going to be up in Denton Thursday or Friday, so I'm going to make it a point to stop by the mall and eat or buy something, then contact the property management company and thank them as well as letting them know why they got my business.

Again, great job!

JD
:iagree: I believe that when a business REMOVES a 30.06 sign for any reason, but especially when it's a direct result of our discussions with them, that we owe them the favor of doing whatever business we can do with them within reason. This is my primary reason for frequenting Taco Cabana when I'm in the market for that kind of food.

Good job all, and "carry" on!

Ok, so I am curious about the mall example, would they even be enforceable because they are not posted at all entrances? I don't think I have ever been in the "main" entrance to the mall I occasionally go to. I always enter through the department store. Aside from "no one would see your ccw anyway", would signs only at the 'mall' entrance be properly posted?

The 30.06 sign is not required to be at all entrances. A business that does so, although they are prohibiting us from carrying there, is actually doing us a favor by doing so. The sign needs only to be posted in a conspicuous place where everyone may see it. You MIGHT get some leeway if you truly did not see it and could prove you had entered through a different place where the sign was not posted. However, you would also have to have been discovered, which many will say that if you are being responsible about your concealment method no one should ever know that you are carrying until it needs to come out for some legitimate reason. And in that case it's a toss up as to whether or not you would be prosecuted for the 30.06 violation.
