Open invitation to anyone who thinks ammo gets "weak" with age: Come fire a clip (yes, "clip") through my M95/34 Steyr-Mannlicher with ammo made in 1938.
I'd suggest shooting offhand, rather than from the bench.

Weak ammo
I've shot a lot of ammo that was at least 45 years old and could discern no problem. This stuff was military "surplus" from the 1940's and 50's. About this guy,.., he was probably playing with it. I don't buy the AD caused by a dropped pistol.

[quote The 59-year-old man, who was not identified by the sheriff's office, was released after deputies determined he had a valid concealed weapon permit and hadn't broken any laws.

Somethings missing from this story. I'm beginning to think its phoney.

True, Costco stores in Texas do not post 30.06 signs so far as I am aware. But in other states with less stringent "notice" requirements, simple "gunbusters" signs suffice. I've seen copies of correspondence from Costco national headquarters, confirming that they "do not feel that firearms enhance the Costco shopping experience" , and thus concealed carry is not welcome.austin wrote:I have been to Costco with my "friend" a lot and do not recall seeing a 30.06 sign.
I've never been in a Costco store (they don't have one near me), but I think I'd prefer to shop at Sam's, anyway.
