A good read, thanks for posting.
Saw it and read thru a lot of the comments. I almost posted one myself, but I thought "what is the point".

I did notice a common sort of theme though. All the 'pro' carry comments were reasoned comments rooted in either self defence, the fact that bad people don't follow laws, or making a case for crime being lower because of civilian carry.

The "anti" comments were almost all fear based and irrational and emotional. You can't argue against that with reason.... I'm just thankful that 74% of the respondents were in favor of concealed carry.

I totally agree. And somewhat surprised that MSNBC actually gave an unbiased report. Totally out of character for them to write such an article. But kudos to them for doing so.

It's easy to understand why all(or a large portion) of the comments were anti-RKBA as most of their readers are liberals, as that is what MSNBC has slanted their news to, in the past.

Fair and balanced report from MSNBC was the only surprise I saw in the article. 3 quarters of the people feel safer no surprise there. Unreasonable anti comments not shocked with that either.

:patriot: I just love this country because if 75% feel safer that means we have at least some backers amongst those in the Democratic Party as well. And that should scare some of the power elite on that side of the aisle.

Ya...I figured why post a comment. Can't argue with stupid. Probably why there's a lot of "anti" comments. Us sensible people don't see the point of posting.

Good read. Surprised that its on MSNBC.

Currently 81% feel safer with a law abiding, gun carrying citizen close by.

15% are afraid that we're all toothless yokels just looking for a reason to pull the trigger. And refuse to see that CCW has not turned 48 states into wild west shoot-outs/
