First off, welcome tot he forum kgdotcom. :tiphat:

This has been discussed here many times. For the latest thread see http://www.texasshooting.com/TexasCHL_F ... 22&start=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Bottom line is you cannot tell from the TABC online database unless they have a FB in the license, which means food and beverage. You will see that explained in the thread above.

The best way to tell is to look at their license and see if it says SIGN=RED then they are a 51% business. if is says SIGN=BLUE then they are NOT a 51% establishment.

:iagree: In fact, if they don't have a sign, then the ONLY way you can tell if it's a 51% business is by physically looking at the license. I don't know of any other way.

And welcome to the forum! :tiphat:

Sorry to start a repeat thread as I'm new to these boards. Can some one merge this with the other one?

Still confused though :mrgreen: Shouldn't they have to have the Red 51% sign at the entrance or the FEDERAL NOTICE licensed or unlicensed sign at the entrance?

I will merge the thread.

As for the posting, the rules just state 'prominently displayed at the entrance'. Now, common sense would tell you it should be displayed so you would see it if entering, but not all people who put up signs use common sense. :banghead:
