The application only lists four required items.
1. Photocopy of CHL
2. Photocopy of DL
3. SASE
4. $26
There is another thread on this specifically around here someplace, don't remember anyone saying anything about photos.
I am sending mine of next week -- ask me in a couple weeks. :mrgreen:

UPDATE-- here is the link to the other thread: http://www.texasshooting.com/TexasCHL_F ... ty+license" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Interesting question tho -- I may just call them on Mon before I drop this in the mail...

No passport photo is required for the Pennsylvania License to Carry Firearms. To apply for a non-resident license from the Centre County Sheriff, send in the application form with the four required items: copy of DL, copy of CHL, SASE, Check/MO. They run a NCIC (or equivalent) check and send your box top pretty quickly if you come up clean. (The license is paper, like the old airman certificates.)

They will want to know which one was used, and that will probably mean taking them all.
If it happens in your home, who knows how many they could take.
I heard one story of officers taking all but one firearm from a home. They wanted to make sure the homeowner could still protect themselves from potential retaliation. But don't always count on that.

As for using one later, after the incident, that's absolutely fine.
As stated, if you're CHL is not taken, you are still legally able to carry. It just won't be with the involved gun until the case is closed, and it's returned.
After the stress of the situation I would probably be "unable" to work the dial on my gun safe... :mrgreen:

this depends on where the shooting happens. IMHO if the shooting happens in an area like a mall, parking lot anywhere but at home, any weapon in your possession will be seized for investigative purposes. Then assuming all goes well and you are no billed, you will get those weapons back.

If the shooting happens at your residence then typically only the weapon used is seized unless for some reason they suspect mulitple calibers were involved then they will seize whatever is necessary to eliminate or confirm. Once again, if no billed all returned.
