Since I don't dress like a gangsta, onlookers would probably figure there was something wrong with the loudmouth.
I reacted this way several years ago when a woman "freaked out" as I was walking into a Randalls grocery. She was leaving the store and began pointing at me and screaming...YOU HAVE A GUN...WHY DO YOU HAVE A GUN...HE HAS A GUN!!!

At the time, I was NOT carrying a sidearm. I was in "business casual" with a blackberry and cell phone on my belt.

Have no clue what her problem was. I just gave her a puzzled look, shrugged my shoulders and continued walking into the store. Although others looked over as she was screaming, everything returned to normal as soon as she ran away into the parking lot. It was definitely a WIERD grocery run.
You WEREN'T armed and she thought you were? Maybe she had been in the produce section and got ahold of a bad mushroom? "rlol"

Sounds like there were a few too many fruit loops in the cereal isle that day.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

Lodge2004 - An excellent response to a weird situation. This is a perfect example of why CHLers shouldn't be worried about people freaking. The person freaking out will be the person that attracts unwanted attention. As long as you're legal, it's their problem, not yours.

IMO, she would probably be the first person that a BG would shoot! :fire :cryin

I dress in business attire most days and carry my Ruger LCP in a DeSantis E-Z Rider on my strong side. The PocketPC rides on the weak side. I've noted quite a few folks taking a look but never had anybody say anything. The E-Z Rider is so comfortable and there's no need to try to hide anything. It's about Blackberry sized and the LCP is thin so I don't think it gets a second thought.

This whole discussion begs the comment(s) and question...

Someone "freaking out" at the sight of "you" carrying a "gun"...hmmmm. lemme see...

Even though I have never seen this occur in "real" life...The penalty for failing to conceal is a bit tenuous from a practical sense, and one I have very little concern for if it were to ever happen, much less someone "freaking out" because a gust of wind blew my knarly looking Hawaiian shirt (that screams gun anyway, but what do I care, right?) up for anyone to see my holstered firearm...

I'm not running, I will not engage in any conversation with anyone, nor will I react in any manner than what I normally do in my everyday life...

If the law arrives at the behest of such a spectacle by another person (not us), it will probably be handled in as professional and reasonable manner as soon as they figure out you are not the problem...At which point if you govern your passions and not react to anything directly that the complainer (if they are still there), you should be fine...

Remember you followed the law, and you have made every reasonable effort to maintain the concealed status you are required to do in this state...I see no reason for anything to happen to anyone in this case...

Much to do about nothing IMO...

So the question you need to ask yourself is this...

BTW, I did see at the last gunshow over our way...

"CONCEALED HANDGUN LICENCEE"

Over a nice silver looking Texas Ranger style badge...

I was tempted, but I lost the urge rather quickly... :smilelol5:

I just can't believe they sell those things at a gunshow of all places...

I'm kind of a big guy (in a horizontal sort of way), and I assume that I'm printing occasionally, at some point or other. I try not to, and I do wear shirts untucked, loose fitting enough not to highlight the weapon; but to never print would require wearing cast-off circus tents, and that would draw more attention than the possibility of that bump under my shirt being the butt of a pistol. But I honestly think that most people are just not observant enough to a) notice the bump; and b) to realize if they do see it that it's a gun, and not a cell phone or something else.

I haven't yet accidentally exposed my weapon. If I did, I would cover it back up and keep walking. Ditto if someone freaked out about it.

In fact, I have to go to Walmart with a camera to legitimize my Wally Walk today. We'll see if the Walmart folks can make me. :smilelol5:
