Sending application without transaction barcode

#1

Post by Brockech »

First off, new member and first time poster.

My wife and I took the CHL class, and I registered both of our applications online on 12/30.

I used the same email address for both of our registrations but only received one confirmation email with a barcode, but because it does not have a name on it I have no clue if it is mine or my wife's. I have confirmed that if I log back into the website using either of our accounts it indicates that they are waiting to receive my paperwork but does not provide the option to see the confirmation email. I understand this option is supposedly available for only 2 day after completion.

I have tried calling repeatedly to get the confirmation sent to me again and have sent 2 emails explaining my situation but have not heard back from them as of yet.

I have seen in other posts that the confirmation email with the transaction barcode is not required to be sent.

Can anyone please tell me if not haveing this email/barcode includede in my packet will slow down my application?

This is a very frustrating process and my waiting game has not even yet begun! :mad5

Welcome to the forum. I wouldn't stress over it much. As long as you have sent in the documentation required you will be fine. If they need anything they will let you know.

I have not sent in my paperwork as of yet. Prior to reading on here I thought it was required to have the barcode since they include it in the checklist.

If its not required, do you know if it will take longer for them process it without the barcode?

Additionally, I was originally planning to email it in , but reading on here has convinced me to ship them with a delivery confirmation.

Is it okay to ship both mine and my wife's applications together or should they be mailed separate?

It makes no difference if you have the barcode or not. Also, you should mail seperate. Do not put 2 or more people's apps in same envelope.

I sent 3 apps in the same envelop with each app paper clipped to separate them. No problem whatsoever.

:iagree: Barcode page should be on your email confirmation but if not I wouldn't worry about it, can't say how much it would delay your app if any.

I've heard that it's better to mail the apps separate, but remember in the "old" days we had to send fingerprint cards, notarized docs, pics etc...and somebody had to sort it out, it's much simpler now.

Thanks everybody for your responses.

I tried calling several more times today and actually got through.

I was told that having or not having the barcode will have no impact on the length of time to process the application. They cld not provide me my barcode because it is deleted from the system after 48hrs.

They confirmed for me that they have received my fingerprints and were only waiting on my CHL100.

I submitted both mine and my wife's this afternoon via the online upload process. I received an email later In the day from an agent indicating that they had received my paperwork.

I guess the waiting will now begin!
