I didn't see this posted already. All I can say is, "Are You Kidding Me?!".

Really? On grand opening weekend?! I bet the owners are just thrilled. I guess you get enough untrained idiots in one place it's bound to happen. This is why I do not go to our local range if it's busy. Too many people going through, greater risk of accidents, and less time for RO to help/watch out. Crazy.

Was apparently an employee was cleaning a gun for a person on the range and shot themselves in the hand. :banghead:

I think I'll stick to shooting on private land.

And I didn't think it could get worse. Wow, I really have no other word for it.

A later article stated he was 'clearing' a gun jam for a shooter and his hand was grazed with the gun 'accidentally' went off. I wonder if they have NRA certified RSO's? I will bet many of the employees have no formal training. :banghead:

I just came back from Frisco gun club. You would be excited to know that shooting lanes are separated by ballistic-armored glass. I could not believe it the the one shooter to my left was sweeping me with his muzzle. Ah, and that Asian guy with his AR-15 was sliding-fire (using the sliding fire stock) his 9mm upper as if the Ammo is free. Just pure waste of Ammo.

It was fun on the pistol range to coach a new shooter shooting my PX4 Full size in 9mm. I did not have chance to shoot rifle at the 100 yrds. Only 2-lanes are operating and still there is no cameras to check your target impact. Those 2 issues should be resolved soon.

The store was crowded as if it is a gun-show. Also, the 10% off almost all firearms and 25% off all accessories is just bonanza draw to the new store. HK firearms stands are awesome.

Tons of fun.

This is not a good start for the club. It's hard enough for a shooting range or club to get affordable insurance without any incidents like this.

How would a trained RSO "accidentally" get their hand in front of a gun they were clearing? ESPECIALLY ON OPENING DAY!!! I don't think I'll be going there any time soon.

I was just reading the gun range thread on this club and he said he did the second level membership. That VIP membership is 7500 dollars initiation dues and 240 dollars a month! that is some serious exclusivity right there. I would rather put that kind of money into some land I can shoot on.

I think I am going to do the one Beiruty did. It's 450 a year, now that they are open and 410 to renew per year. No range fees. I would get my money's worth. I currently pay around 100 a year at bullet trap and then have to spend about 250 a year on a "shooter card" to cover my range usage. Bullet trap is a real dive compared to the Frisco Range. Same owners by the way.

If you don't mind employees that tend to shoot themselves... That makes me REAL nervous. Especially on opening weekend.
