Whoa, whoa, whoa... whoa! He shot 10 or more people with a shotgun? Two barrels, no high capacity "clips" or shoulder "thingies" that go up? That is impossible. The shot gun only held two rounds, so a maximum of two people killed, right?

With a registered gun as well. All weapons must be registered!

Found this fascinating bit of stats.
If you carry a gun, people call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you carry a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about?

They can claim all they want and Pierce Morgan can run his mouth about our guns. But my point will always fall back to this recent mass shooting in England while we were living there!

Their police let this guy go on his shooting rampage for HOURS because they were NOT armed and had to wait for special police to come from large cities to get this guy. They found him when he finally killed himself. This is their mass shooting by a man with a shot gun! NOT an AR 15, and not a handgun, which are banned! This guy drove around shooting innocent people for hours. It was horrific. So yes, it does happen even in the UK.

I believe a lot of their crime is being committed by immigrants. I've been reading a lot about immigrants committing horrible crimes there in the UK and because they are EU citizens they are not shipped back. One guy recently raped several women, he was from Poland with a long violent past. Women in the UK have no way to defend themselves, except with martial arts, if they're lucky. If someone breaks into your house and you kill them, even if they are armed, you will go to jail.

I actually love England and met some wonderful lifelong friends. They are very fortunate that their way of life is the way it is. I could live there very happily, but I will never understand their politics and their need for such extreme political correctness. And it really broke my heart to find that Scots are even more liberal than the English. I often thought of them as being more like Texans, conservative and eager to take a stand. But when they let the Lockerbie bomber go, I lost a lot of respect for their parliament.
The police in the UK also rampantly lie about their crime statistics. The standard practice is to downgrade serious crimes to less serious crimes, but they also outright omit crime data as well. For PC reasons, they also ignore crimes by immigrants, especially Muslim immigrants.....recently, for instance, they allowed a group of Muslim men to rape young girls because they felt arrest and prosecution would defame the Muslim community. This is the same kind of insanity the left is breeding in this country.

Wait, what?!? Downplaying crimes and omitting statistics is one thing, but you're saying they stood by and allowed gang rape(s) to happen?
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

Edited to add:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/ ... acist.html
Police and social workers were last night accused of failing to investigate an Asian paedophile gang for fear of being perceived as racist, allowing them to prey on up to 50 young white girls.

And you can be sure that as night follows day the left will duplicate such circumstances here. And btw, "Asian" is a code word....they're not talking about Chinese or Cambodians....in the UK papers, "Asian" in a context like this means "Muslim."

I spent most of the '90's in the UK. Burglary, car theft, assault, pick-pocketing, and robbery are far higher than in the US. Firearms are rarely used in such crimes, but knives, clubs, cricket bats, bottles, brass knuckles and fists commonly are. The justice system was broken; habitual offender burglers and car thieves commonly received 6 to 12 month sentences, even after 10+ convictions. If you were assaulted on the street and tried to defend yourself with any type of weapon (pocket knife, pepper spray, walking cane, tennis racket), you would likely end up serving more time in jail than your assailant. You are less likely to be shot in the UK, but you are far more likely to be a crime victim.

If I lived in the UK I'm afraid I wouldn't see the point in not being a criminal, since it's the only way not to be a victim.
