Improper signs = amusing

#1

Post by Tacomaoffroader »

This post is more of a thought/statement than anything really:

So I went to a bookstore off campus for my summer semester books; and as I was walking up to the door I saw a sticker w/ a ghostbuster symbol w/ a gun.

It said: Security Notice (pic of gun/ghostbuster sign) Concealed Weapons prohibited

I stopped for a second and stared @ it (thinking should I go back and unarm)... oh wait... not a real sign LOL

I though it was amusing cuz I've never seen anything like that here in Austin before (maybe my eyes aren't peeled enough)

I was about to walk up to the manager and tell him that the sign wasn't legal; but thought to myself.... then he might change it!

I figured it's either there because the manager/owner knows the sheep will feel better about it; or they believe it will prevent those who have CHLs from entering w/ their weapons.

I agree.....At the AMC Tinseltown USA in Lubbock, TX.....they have a 30.06 sign posted on the back wall of only one of the 3 ticket booths....and its about half the size of a regular piece of computer paper.

Even if it was legal, use the other two booths or the ticket kiosk and you would never see it.

If I was anti gun, and a jerk, I would market 30.06 regulation wallpaper. Tell me you didn't see that sign

give anybody any ideas. I just do not patronize a business that posts a "no guns" sign.

I make it my policy not to patronize businesses posting 30.06.
However, the only ones I've seen in my area are at hospitals & professional buildings.
This makes it difficult.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

I will try to not go to places that post 30.06, and so far, the only place that I have found them are at work. I work for a hospital in San Anotnio. Other then that I have not seen any around town.
