It appears to be, although I have not measured the type size. It's close enough. My mom is leaving the place at the end of the week, so I will no longer worry about it.MeMelYup wrote:Is it a valid 30.06 or what?JALLEN wrote:I don't have it yet, of course. Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

It will soon be worse with all the anti gun legislation pouring through the Legislature and signed by Moonbeam.knotquiteawake wrote:
That is good to hear. My Father lives in Placerville, up in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. He is a small business owner and I am constantly encouraging him to just go ahead and apply because El Dorado County is close to "shall issue".
I was just emailing a LAPD guy I used to work with, he's been a patrol officer for 4 or 5 years now. I asked him how many valid CHLs he's come across in his work. None. Not a single one. The only legally armed people he has ever come across were off duty cops. So sad.
I heard it said that a violent criminal has a bigger chance of encountering Bigfoot and the Abominable Snowman both in pink tutus than encountering an armed CCW holder in California.

Do you know if the ammo tax applies to online purchases? If so I guess I'll probably have to start mailing some "care packages" of ammo to my family out there.JALLEN wrote:It will soon be worse with all the anti gun legislation pouring through the Legislature and signed by Moonbeam.knotquiteawake wrote:

The reason I asked is there are a lot of old signs that reference Article 4413 which is not valid, otherwise the wording is the same.JALLEN wrote:It appears to be, although I have not measured the type size. Re: Completed the Class today
Congratulations on getting through it, along with the rain.
I personally forced myself to plan for such things. I burned it into my brain to make it a habit from Day 1 to bring my range bag any time I planned to shoot. It's a dedicated bag, and all contents except my reloading materials are in there. It's also one of my emergency bags to take if I have to evacuate the house quickly, etc.

Video games are an escape from reality. Gun ownership is for when you can't.
