If any members here organize or are involved in security at their church, please PM me if you would be willing to share some information with me.

Thank you!

I only offer personel security for my self, my wife and family. I do this by (1) being armed, (2) sitting in a spot at church that gives me the best overall view of the church, entrances, and exist and (3) being aware of those that enter and leave.

Now, if by chance something goes down, the congregation would most likely benifit from this as well. :evil2:

I contemplated notifying my pastor, too. But then I began thinking about the possibility of his liable, or the church's responsibility (in a court of law) "authorizing" or sanctioning, even unofficially, my intentions to protect the rest of the congregation. I'd rather just sit at the back along the wall, or stand elsewhere on my own. :coolgleamA:

My pastor knows I carry. We even go shooting together.

Now, I will say this, I have no intentions nor do I claim to be protecting the congregation. I am protecting myself and my family ONLY. Now, if by doing this I inadvertantly protect the congregation, so be it. :biggrinjester:

That's not security, it's safety.

God knows and if He thinks the pastor should know, that's His call.
