Jerry World Posted? (Cowboy Stadium)
I was wondering if the Cowboy Stadium is posted. Before I get a bunch of posts saying CHL can not carry at a professional sporting event, I know. I am asking because I plan on attending a non-sporting event at the stadium. They lease sections out for company or group functions besides the sporting or entertainment events. I am betting it is posted but you never know. I can hope.

Re: Jerry World Posted? (Cowboy Stadium)
Correct me if I'm wrong. I seem to remember something about the Cowboy's stadium being owned by the city or county. If it's public property it can't be legally posted.
edit: I just checked, it is owned by the City of Arlington. You're probably good.

I'm surprised it is owned by the city. I thought it was owned by the Cowboys and funded by the city through bonds or something like that. Anyway, I think I remember reading where one or forum members went there for Chris Kyle's memorial at the stadium and said it was not posted.

Not posted, though sometimes they wand everyone coming in, like at Chris Kyle's memorial service.

And just like the AAC, when they are wanding, they will not let you in. I was told straight up, sue us, but you're not getting in.Kythas wrote:Not posted, though sometimes they wand everyone coming in, like at Chris Kyle's memorial service.

A CHL cannot carry into a professional sporting event by law posted or not posted,
Senate Bill 60 adds section 46.035 to the Penal Code. Act of May 16, 1995, 74th Leg., R.S., ch. 229, § 4, 1995 Tex. Sess. Law Serv. 1998, 2013-14. Subsection (b) of section 46.035 provides that a license holder commits an offense if he or she intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries a handgun under the authority of article 4413(29ee) in certain places. Such conduct is prohibited.
on the premises of a business that has a permit or license issued under Chapter 25, 28, 32, or 69, Alcoholic Beverage Code, if the business derives 51 percent or more of its income from the sale of alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption;
on the premises where a high school, collegiate, or professional sporting event or interscholastic event is taking place, unless the license holder is a participant in the event and a handgun is used in the event;

The section of code you are referencing is the old Vernon code and is no longer relevant.jlrockboy wrote: under the authority of article 4413(29ee) in certain places.

Do the Dallas Cowboys still have a professional football team?

Definitely debatable since they've extended Romo's contract.cw3van wrote:Do the Dallas Cowboys still have a professional football team?

Re: Jerry World Posted? (Cowboy Stadium)
they need to fix the bogus test from dps......i just took my re-qualification and it asked the very question about showing up at the cowboy game and remembering your carrying...what do you do? the correct answer was go lock it in the car.C-dub wrote:The section of code you are referencing is the old Vernon code and is no longer relevant.jlrockboy wrote: under the authority of article 4413(29ee) in certain places.
