My bank welcomes me by posting a non-compliant gun buster sign.

Old news. Been posted here multiple time over the last 2-3 years. Surprised it took KHOU so long to find out. But like Jim said, nice to see it again.

None of the banks I use are posted. Wouldn't use one that was.

I'm bank shopping now because my credit union is 30-06 compliant. When I complained they basically said "oh well". :banghead:

“Everybody wants the government to do something,” said Smith. “People need to do things for themselves.”

I wonder if they'll let me open an out-of-town account. I now have an overwhelming desire to do business with Chapel Hill Bank.

Both Amoco and JSC FCU in the Clear Lake area have the 30.06 sign on the front door. No big deal, I go through the drive through. There's no way I'm giving my business to the larger banks so I'll deal with the sign.

I use two different banks. One is not posted, one has a non-compliant ghost buster decal on the inside of the glass to the right of the front door. Glass is so tinted, one has to look really hard to even see it.

The one that is not posted also has a branch inside the Wal-Mart about a mile from where we live, so I do most of my business there.

My parents have been customers of Chappell Hill for almost 50 years. Most of that time had been with an out of town address.

They will most likely open an account for you, and be sure to get a debit card on the account. My bank is in another county, a lot of the stores and business in the county I live will not accept out of county checks.
