Had my fingerprints taken a couple weeks ago. Spoke with the company this morning about getting a copy of my criminal history report and was told to schedule another appointment with l1enrollment and come back in and pay 24.95 for the mail in report.
Does that make sense? I already paid 9.95 for my fingerprints and now I go back in for another fingerprint scan and pay 24.95 for my criminal history report?
Thanks,
Jamie

Yes, that is their fee. It is separate from the state fingerprint fee. It's a complete waste of money.....unless you might have an issue with something from the past.

Why are you looking for a criminal history report? If you were arrested and fingerprinted at some time, then you will need to list that arrest on your application and will require a copy of the disposition from the court clerk in the county where you went to court or paid your fine to send in to DPS. Otherwise, if you have not had any arrests, then you won't need anything to turn in.TxCatfish wrote:Had my fingerprints taken a couple weeks ago. Re: Prints done now need criminal report
Some people just want to see what is on 'their' report. I understand this. The report is about "me" I want to see what is on it.
I have been finger printed twice in the past, both military related. So having been printed in the past is not an automatic "your guilty of something" statement

Were you arrested and fingerprinted in the Military? That is what I stated, not just fingerprinted.mikelst wrote:Some people just want to see what is on 'their' report. I understand this. The report is about "me" I want to see what is on it.

DPS wants to know on your application if you were arrested and fingerprinted, even if the charges were dropped, dismissed, expunged, etc. You have to send along a copy of the disposition on each case to them with your application.

I think DPS will sell you the report for less than $24.95mikelst wrote:Some people just want to see what is on 'their' report. I understand this. The report is about "me" I want to see what is on it.
