I haven't seen a recent thread on carrying in the non-secured areas of Hobby or IAH so I thought I would start one.
I have to pick up my family at Hobby tonight and just wanted to verify that there are no issues carrying in the non-secured areas. My understanding is that there is no problem.

You are correct. Have a good trip.
I was there in September. For some reason I got lucky the past few weeks.

Re: Hobby Airport
It's not posted last I saw. And I'm pretty sure it's owned by the city, so it can't be.

No problem at all, Carry away.
I love the sound smell of jet fuel in the morning.

Re: Hobby Airport
Hobby is as open as a shopping mall. Drive in, park, walk into the terminal. You can go anywhere except the area controlled by TSA.
Probably you shouldn't go into the bars armed.
All three Houston airports are owned by the city. I'm pretty sure every airport in Texas that has scheduled commercial flights is owned by a city, county, or some kind of governmental airport authority, like DFW.

Re: Hobby Airport
I was there just last week. Got off the plane, picked up my checked luggage containing my Beretta, visited the restroom, and emerged armed to meet my ride. No signs, no issues.
