Got "Made" Today

#1

Post by DSARGE »

My wife and I were at my buddie's son's B-day party today. A good female friend of ours came up behind me and gave me a big hug around the waste from behind. When she felt the pistol, she sorta flinched and let go. She didn't say anything for about an hour, then asked what I was carrying. I told her a .40, and she said when I grew up, I could carry a .45 like she had in her purse! Known her for 4 years and had no idea. Guess you can never tell.

That's a funny story. I'm with LT, you were already in good company. There's somewhat of an unspoken bond between fellow CHL'rs.

Guess I could've mentioned that I am 6'3", 200lbs and she is around 5'6" and weighs around 130!

I'm waiting for my daughters 9mm to come in, I hope she doesn't think she'll be under-gunned with it.

She is used to shooting my .45, but it is a commander length. Her Carry 9 will have a 3" barrel, so 9mm should be controllable.

Somehow... I just know she's gonna want a "Big Girl Gun" (.45 caliber) before its all over.

My wife also prefers a 45 but she does have a 9mm and a 357 that she enjoys. If she were forced to choose one though, it'd be the .45, hands down.

Heck, I'm about 5'6", 135 pounds, and I carry a .45! Two reloads, too, along with BUG in my pocket (NAA Mini-.22) if I'm feeling onery.

My mother's smaller than I am, and also frequently carries that kind of combination - .45, two spare mags, BUG.

So, when you gonna grow up, eh? :leaving :biggrinjester:
