umm, what?
Sorry, all forums are different in how they're setup. I put 'Grapevine Mills' in the subject line. The Grapevine Mills Mall has 30.06 signs.
Yeah, I took pictures last year of them. As you face the main doors the sign is on the left hand wall that is perpindicular to the doors.
It is clearly visible, but placed in a location where you don't really look as you are entering a building.

Taco Cabana Beach @ Hwy 121 in Ft Worth/Riverside area.
30.06 posted on front door in 3/8" letters.
Sign inside (correct) advising that unlawful carry is prohibited.
I ate there, but regretted it. Food was awful.

I've seen two correct 30.06 signs since I've had my Texas CHL. One at the hospital where my father-in-law was treated, and another at a liquor store.
Incredibly, the liquor store took the 30.06 sign down and left the obsolete sign that states something like, "The licensed or unlicensed possession of a weapon on these premises is a felony (etc. etc.)" This is only in English, but the letters are black on a white background, and are approximately 1" high block letters.
I'm guessing this may have been a previous version of a legal sign, but I don't know that for sure.
I've also seen a "4463" sign, as mentioned by an earlier poster. That was at a Mexican restaurant on Hwy. 59 in Edna.

I too have seen very few 30.06 signs, and fewer still that were correct.
The only time I've seen something like that "obsolete" sign is on the Tarrant County Administration Building, which should not be able to forbid licensed carry.

That's the sign required by TABC. Any place that sells alcohol is required to post that sign. If they took the 30.06 sign down, good for them. It means that either the owner/management is CHL-friendly or it was taken down by accident. Either way, it's one less victim zone.
I haven't gotten my license in the mail from DPS yet, but I've also been cognizant and constantly on the lookout for properly posted 30.06 signs, and I have seen zero.
Could it possibly be because the sign was designed to be a deterrence? Who wants to post two huge signs [one in English and one in Spanish] in contrasting colours in one inch+ block lettering -- on the front door to their business? I'm sure they regard the aesthetics of their building as more important than keeping law abiding citizens from bringing their firearms inside.

I thought the required sign was "unlawful possession of a concealed weapon"?

The wording he used pretty much fits the wording on the TABC signs. Specifically, the sign says: "NOTICE The unlicensed possession of a weapon on these premises is a felony with a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment and a fine not to exceed $10,000."

Awful food???
Yes sir. I suspect 30-06 posting would cause indegestion after a man's favorite meal.
Carry 24-7 or guess right.

I have to see them everyday at work. I work for Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, which has the sign at most entrances and are working on getting the rest of the signs put up. I dont like the fact that we have the signs, but I have to live with it.
