Fixed it for ya.

:nono: Not ok to discuss whether a sign is legit or not ... don't want to teach them anything they don't already know ...

:thumbs2: Is ok to let them know they won't get your business because they don't allow guns ... don't want to crush good old time tested consumer activism ...
...please don't take the liberty of "fixing" what I said...I post EXACTLY what I mean...very carefully...and I stated it clearly...my whole post supports the intent of your "unauthorized repair"...in MY words...thankyouberrymuch...

I apologize. Such is not an uncommon occurrence on this board - no offense was intended. Thus the red lettering to clearly indicate my edits so as not to pollute your original wording. Original offending post has been edited.

However, upon careful re-reading of your post - it still doesn't read that way to me. So I am probably reading it incorrectly but it would seem to be promoting the concept of not communicating with management at all.

...thank you for the apology, which was not expected or required...I'm touchy about someone either" reading into" my post something I did NOT say or changing what I DOsay...I'm an old hardhead who says it just like I feel it or see it no apologies...and I DON'T get upset when someone disagrees with what I say(love a good argument), but I want my say without someone changing what I meant...if what I say is wrong or bad...I'LL be apologizing...once you prove it to me ;-) No foul...(don't order dessert for me, neither...)

...TerryG......what I was saying with this post is this: to discuss an unenforceable sign with a person who chose to put up a sign (or a corporate body who decided to put it up), you may prove that it's in error(winning the battle) but they may correct it, making it off-limits to us all...(losing the war)...if it's unenforceable...DON'T BRING IT UP...
...I posted in response to Embalmo's last half of his last sentence...which I read as saying the same thing...in HIS choice of words...

...an often-undiscussed possibility is that the Mgr or even the whole corporation is NOT anti-gun...but trying to satisfy their legal dept. or their insurance company...and posted an unenforceable sign on purpose, confident that we well-educated CHL folks would just wink and walk on in...that's what I choose to believe, and I do just that...

Went to Chuck E Cheese today (Webster - Baybrook) for my goddaughter's birthday and got a picture of a portion of the sign. The letters are nowhere near 1" at that location.

Simple!

Either walk past it secure in the knowledge that "concealed is concealed" OR take the kid somewhere else to eat. There's a third choice: disarm and go in and enjoy the er...uh, fun.

Life is too short to spend it 'majorin' in minors'.

I went with the concealed is concealed choice, as did my goddaughter's father. No one's going to see my ccw unless I need to use it anyways.

I was also at Chuck-E- Cheese in Baybrook friday for my grandaughters birthday. I was already disarmed from being at my daughters highschool swim Practice and chose not to rearm because I did not know if i would expose my firearm while picking up one of my three grandkids to help them play games.
I love the sound smell of jet fuel in the morning.
Fat thumbs + IPhone = errors, please forgive.

Something I haven't seen mentioned.

If you are a single parent (or your spouse is at home, etc) and you have especially young kids, you should think long and hard about carrying into a place like Chuck-E-Cheese regardless of whether or not they have any signs. I know when my kids were really little, they used to occasionally panic and "get stuck" in the Habitrail-like tunnel system at these places, so I would frequently climb up there with them. Let's just say that I would have to have a holster with EXTREMELY strong retention to feel safe doing that while armed. I don't even want to think about what could happen if I got snagged in those tight constraints and a loaded handgun came out of my holster around a bunch of little kids, most of whom have probably not learned the proper respect for a weapon.

Also, I agree that Chuck-E-Cheese's pizza is terrible and extremely expensive. They know they have a captive audience and can guilt parents into buying the kids lunch, so why not gouge as much as possible?

I agree about the issue of crawling through the tunnels. That happened frequently when my daughter was little. Fortunately, my kids are 12 and 8, so I'm no longer the designated gopher.
