Mass Slaughter in Our Public Schools: The Terrorists' Chilling Plan

http://www.washingtonceasefire.com/content/view/22/37/

I will not paste the whole article here since it is quite long. I will paste this quote:

How we know they're coming.

Al-Qaeda has publicly asserted the "right" to kill 2,000,000 American children, Rassa explained, and has warned that "operations are in stages of preparation" now. He played vivid videotapes confiscated in Afghanistan, showing al-Qaeda terrorists practicing the takeover of a school. The trainees issue commands in English, rehearse separating youngsters into manageable groups and meeting any resistance with violence. Some "hostages" are taken to the rooftop, dangled over the edge, then "shot."

"Any place that has given [Islamic terrorists] trouble, they've come after the kids," Grossman said. Muslim religious literature, according to Rassa, states clearly that the killing of children not only is "permitted" in Islam but is "approved" by Mohammed, so long as the perpetrators "are striving for the general good" as interpreted by that religion.

He cited instances in Indonesia where girls on their way to school have been beheaded and in other countries where children have been shot, mutilated, raped or burned alive.

In this country this year ['06], Rassa said, there have been several school bus-related incidents involving Middle Eastern males that raise suspicion of terrorist activity. These include the surprise boarding of a school bus in Florida by two men in trench coats, who may have been on a canvassing mission, and the attempt in New York State by an Arab male to obtain a job as a school bus driver using fraudulent Social Security documents. The latter gave an address in Detroit, home to a large colony of fundamentalist Muslims.

Rassa claimed that floor plans for half a dozen schools in Virginia, Texas and New Jersey have been recovered from terrorist hands in Iraq.

I personally believe that gun free schools are a major factor as a cause of school shootings. Some may say that the referenced article is plain hysteria, but to me, it makes sense. Any terrorist activity on our home soil will not occur on hardened targets. Our schools are easy targets and any attack will devastate us.

I have long advocated arming our schools, and most of us here know that the chances of that happening is slim and none.

I too believe that another terrorist attack on our home soil is imminent, and no one knows where it will occur. Will our schools be the target? Remember Beslan, Russia? The article details the incident.

I agree with you both. This or something similar is going to happen and I'm afraid sooner than later.

This country pulled togeather as one after 911 but since has become farther apart and more complacent than ever. That is what they are waiting for.

LT, glad you made it home okay. Great meeting you and enjoyed having you there for the day

Thanks for posting. I read the entire article. Sadly, many of the people who need to know about it most will continue "grazing".

Frankly, I've been amazed it hasn't already happened. My former boss spent eight years as a Ranger. We talked about this constantly and wondered why the tactics already seen overseas (mass shootings and suicide bombers) haven't occured in CONUS already.

We thought we were seeing the beginning of such action with Muhammad and Malvo shooting up DC but then it turned out all we had was a couple of mentally deranged, evil amatures making a grand tour of the US. Fact is however, had they not started leaving notes and bragging, they probably would have evaded capture much longer. Their tactics, would not be hard for a small cell of a a couple dozen men to replicate. Mass shootings certainly don't seem all that hard to plan given all the "soft" targets that exist in modern society.

Weapons are readily available and the porosity of US borders seems to support setting up such an operation. It would take less than a minute for a four-man team to drive up to a school as classes started or ended, spray several hundred rounds into the crowds and depart the area before police have a chance to respond. I have to wonder if the enemy is that inept or unable to organize such things in the US because the alphabet agencies(CIA, FBI, NSA, DSS, etc.) really are doing that good of a job of preventing it.

On the otherhand, that truly seems overly optomistic and it may be Al Qaida and others panted themselves into a corner and really want to do something "bigger and better" than 9/11. This too seems overly optomistic to me as the insurgents in Iraq and other places around the world seem content to die so long as they take at least one "Infidel" with them.

We also shouldn't ignore our home grown threats. There are plenty of them. If it isn't a radical, Nation of Islam type, it's an allegedly devout "Christian" declaring war on all that is not white. And lets not forget the members of the Democratic Underground who wanted to go to war after GW Bush won re-election in 2004. Fact is, we've got plenty of our own idiots in this country willing to shoot up a shool or mall and yet, it hasn't happened on the scale I would have expected by now. I'm sure there are wiser and more experienced men than I who can offer a theory but I remain thankful I haven't seen the carnage I've expected for some time.
When you take the time out of your day to beat someone, it has a much longer lasting effect on their demeanor than simply shooting or tazing them.

A very frightening article. Unfortunately I also think that they are already here and it's just a matter of time.

I teach at an alternative school in Texas and really hate leaving my gun in the truck each work day. I totally agree it is going to happen in the US sooner rather than later. I retire in less than two years after what will be 34 years in the classroom. I really hope it doesn't happen before then.

I, too, am surprised this hasn't happened already.
Moreover, I'm surprised something hasn't happened in MY school. Ever since I"ve been there, we've had a spread out, unfenced campus. Up until a few years ago, students had to go OUTDOORS to access restrooms located off of breezeways.
Our current school was built in the 50s. At that time, they weren't thinking of safety; they were thinking of allowing the crosswinds to flow through buildings so they wouldn't require A/C. (And now we have A/C.)

Fortunately, we're building a new school, but I know its still a soft target. It will still have only one armed individual in the entire building (a sheriff's deputy). I know of only one other person that will have a CHL. He and I don't talk much about any of this (he & I would not be considered PC on our campus), but I would imagine he will keep his CHL in his truck.
Even if three of us managed to have our PISTOLS in an attack, I don't see them holding up well to a large group of trained terrorists with automatic rifles. To say the least, we would be undergunned--and that's IF the other teacher and I could even make it to our vehicles to get our weapons.

You're all correct--we're soft targets indeed. Unfortunately, we'll have to watch our countrymen get slaughtered, as on 911, to even have the subject considered. Sad.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.
